National Wear Red Day for Women

Everyone (men too!) can support the fight against heart disease in women by wearing red on Friday, February 1, 2008 — National Wear Red Day for Women.
It’s a simple, powerful way to raise awareness about heart disease and stroke. By joining together with thousands of women, companies and organizations, and cities across America, you’ll help the American Heart Association support ongoing research and education about women and heart disease.   National Wear Red Day for Women has its own dress code. Wear your favorite red clothes or accessory — a red blouse, a red dress pin, a fabulous red handbag or pair of shoes — put on red lipstick, or sport a red tie or red socks.

Show your support for women and the fight against heart disease.  Go Red in your own fashion and get others to participate! For more information on how to get your company, favorite local organization, or place of worship involved, log on to www.GoRedForWomen.org.
