You&#039;re so right when you say it isn&#039;t always simple.  All we can do is our best.  None of us are perfect parents.  I think sometimes we&#039;re too hard on ourselves.  

I think it&#039;s often a good idea to reflect back on the day and congratulate ourselves on the things we did well and know that every day presents a new opportunity to do things differently if we want to make some changes.</description>

		<description>I have been struggling with my teenage boys in the area of respect.  They do really well for a time and then they can become terrible.  It is true that disrespect cannot be tolerated.  Sometimes I have tolerated it too much just because it gets tiring when it seems like I&#039;m fighting with them all the time.  Other times, it is good to let it go for the moment and think.  I did this earlier this week and realized that there was an issue that we needed to talk about later.  There was something I was doing that I didn&#039;t realize that was upsetting to my child.  Its not always real simple.</description>
